February 6

Not much happening today - spent most of it on the couch not feeling well :/  I have to say that Brian was home today and took good care of me today - he made sure I didn't need or want anything. He even went to the store and did our grocery shopping for me.

Have I told you how amazing he is?
I love that Man!!

This is a picture of us from our friends wedding this past summer :) it's one of my favorite that's been taken of us recently!

Feb 5

So here are the promised pictures from my amazing weekend in MN - seriously I had SO MUCH FUN!

I love my girl's nights with these ladies - they refresh my soul :)

And here are a few pictures from my Pampered Chef Conference:
Currently I'm trying to earn a FREE trip to Nashville - So here is my incentive picture!

These ladies were all awarded during the conference - I want to say they were in the top 20 in sales for 2011

Of course today is The Superbowl - so Brian and I made some yummy foods he took to a Superbowl party.   These are the baked Zucchini Sticks with Marinara sauce - home made of course ;)  They are SUPER easy to make and super delicious - and weight watcher friendly - yay :)

First off I get the sauce going - simmering on the stove using my AMAZING Pampered Chef Executive Cookware.

Then I cut up the zucchini with a super secret new PC product coming March 1st!
Then dip the zucchini into an egg mixture, then a bread crumb coating using PC's Coating Tray and tool
Then you cook them up on a PC stone

SO DELICIOUS!! Yum!

The recipe is found HERE

What is your favorite Superbowl Recipe?

February 4

Just got back from MN where I attended Pampered Chef's SPRING LAUNCH - where they "launch" all the new products that are coming March 1st :) I'm SO SO SO excited about them, but I can't say a peep!! lol Keep your eyes peeled for the new products!!

I had such an amazing time with my MN friends - they are so uplifting to my soul - I think they know me better than most people, and I've never had an "awkward" moment in any conversation with them :) I love that!

Pictures to come soon!

You might remember a few days ago I posted about my friend who had lost a baby. Because of all the complications and not having health insurance in Peru (for many different reasons) they are struggling financially. Here is a note from a close friend of the family that was posted on Facebook:

Friends and Family, this is Victor. Thank you for all the love and support. As of now Jose and Kathryn are not going to be responding to any phone calls, text messages, emails, or FB messages.

Many people are asking how can they help or show/extend their love. And a good way is through giving financially. Right now the Lopez family needs about $8,000. That covers Kat's surgery (C-Section), the surgeries Caleb Elijah had, doctor fees and hospital expenses, as well as the final plans for Caleb Elijah's burial.

You can give tax exempt free through www.powerhousecc.com/giving/ OR you can private message ME (Victor Cetina) and ask me for their account information to deposit it directly at your local bank. You can find me on face book through --> Vic Cetina or my email viccetina@gmail.com....

If you have any questions, please email me directly or private message me. Jose and Kat are in need to private time right now, and I was asked to head all this up. Thank you for understanding, and for your love and support.

-Vic Cetina

If you would like to give in any way (even $5) you can contact Vic or give directly at this link: http://chix0rgirl.chipin.com/jose-and-kat-lopez

I know Kat & Jose would GREATLY appreciate it - and hopefully they will be able to come back to the states and be with family and friends.

February 2

My heart is breaking tonight. My friend Kat gave birth to a beautiful baby boy yesterday (after thinking he was a girl all along). He was born with some complications, but they expected him to pull through. Today little Caleb went home to be with the Lord.  I have been on the verge of tears (if not completely lost in them) since I heard the news.  I don't know why things like this happen. I have no answers.  My heart breaks when I hear stories like this - especially when it's someone I know.

Please be in prayer for Kat and her family - Caleb has 2 older brothers who are going to have to "figure this out" and I have no clue how a child processes something like this.  Kat and her family are missionaries to Peru - they are in a different country, without family and friends around, with a  language barrier. Just pray that the Lord will comfort them, and wrap his loving arms around them during this time.

The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away.......Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

February 1

As I typed that ^^ I am shocked that the first month of 2012 is already DONE and GONE - where did it go?? Wherever it went - it was fast!

Today I got to spend a few hours with 2 of the cutest little guys - we played trains (of course!), played the child's version of sequence - although little man #2 just thought it was fun to put the pieces on EVERY animal on the board - not just the ones he had a card for ;) - We colored, played operation and more - I swear - how do kids have SO MUCH energy? It's a little crazy to me! lol

I then went and got my hair cut - I think maybe, just maybe I found a stylist that really knows how to cut my hair - we'll see after I wash it and style it for myself ;) The stylists that I usually REALLY like have NO CLUE how to style my hair - but that's ok - if they can cut it, I can style it ;)  I also love that this salon gives out a TON of free samples to first time clients - YAY!!

January 31

I really love my Jonah Bible study - I'm learning so much. I am SO thankful that I serve a God of second chances. A God who is sitting in heaven just WAITING for me to ask for another chance - how amazing is He?

We officially gave back the keys to the Greenbush house tonight. It was a bittersweet moment as I pulled out of the subdivision. I remember the first day we arrived - it was SO COLD and I was clueless on even how to get to our house. But now we're done...moved on....I'm wondering what awaits us at the Osage house.

Started my first book of the year - I'm so embarrassed to say that :/ seeing as it's the last day of the month.  But I'm excited to be reading the Anne of Green Gables series for the first time ever - I think I should be even MORE embarrassed to be saying that, seeing as I'm a HUGE Anne fan!  Reading the first few chapters made me want to sit and watch the movies all over again - I'm thinking I'm going to try and talk my youth group girls into watching it when they do their sleepover here at my house next month....we'll see!
